Men O’War is a symbolic representation of the divided world we live in today. It is told in a world of humanoid marine animals that consume jellyfish as part of their diet.
Men O’ War revolves around a parasite called the Rorschach algae that infects a jellyfish bloom. The consumers who eat the black jellyfish turn into the host of the parasite and it alters their state of mind, resembling that of unhinged addicts. Disruption and unrest descend on the city, with riots ensuing between those who crave and those who don’t want the Rorschach algae jellyfish.
Two researchers unintentionally discover the cure after one of them gives into temptation and purchases a jellyfish. Their research focus is around the bubble plankton which periodically produces oxygen bubbles. While they’re debating on whether to eat the jellyfish for dinner, a bubble bursts over the infected jellyfish and kills the Rorschach parasite.
Upon their revelation, the researchers multiply their plankton garden and unleash bubbles onto the city, killing the black algae and restoring harmony back into the population.
